Publisher Targem Games (Crossout, BlazeRush) and developer TG Indie have officially pulled back the curtain on their latest project: Underchoice, a high-stakes survival simulator that turns moral ambiguity into a core gameplay mechanic.
Set within the claustrophobic confines of a sealed underground bunker, Underchoice casts players as the Overseer—the final arbiter of life and death in a world that has become uninhabitable.
The Burden of the Overseer
Unlike traditional survival games that focus solely on resource gathering, Underchoice emphasises the human cost of survival. As the leader of a small community, you are the one who answers when a stranger knocks on the reinforced bunker door.
“Every choice you make, whether it is to let in a stranger, to use your resources on something, or to risk the safety of the bunker, leads to unique consequences,” the developers shared in the official announcement.
Key Gameplay Features
- Ethical Gatekeeping: Decide who enters your sanctuary. A newcomer could be a valuable asset or a threat that destabilises your entire ecosystem.
- Crisis Management: Handle internal technical failures, medical emergencies, and external threats that force you to prioritize some lives over others.
- Resource Scarcity: Manage strictly limited supplies of food, water, and medicine. Will you share your bounty with wandering souls or hoard it to ensure your people’s long-term survival?
- Branching Narratives: The game promises a wide variety of endings shaped entirely by the player’s moral compass—or lack thereof.
Availability
Underchoice is currently slated for release on PC (Steam). While a definitive launch date has yet to be confirmed, the developers have officially opened Playtest registration on their Steam page, inviting players to get an early look at the bunker’s harsh realities.
