Prepare to raise your banner once more. Creative Assembly, alongside development partner Mataboo, has lifted the lid on Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Complete Edition — a sweeping revitalisation of one of the grand strategy genre’s most beloved classics, arriving October 13, 2026.
The Classic, Remade for Today
First released in 2011, SHOGUN 2 has long stood as a high-water mark for the franchise. Now, 15 years later, it returns reimagined and refined — built on the foundations of the original but modernised from engine to interface. Every campaign, every battle, every blade strikes sharper than ever before.
What’s New — Every Detail Refined

| Visual Overhaul | Updated lighting, shadows, textures, and models across maps, battles, and characters — plus toggleable Ukiyo-e inspired cinematic visuals |
