Gaming fans, mark your calendars and ready your gear. Publisher Skystone Games (co-founded by Diablo creator David Brevik) and developer Bellring Games have officially confirmed the launch details for their highly anticipated dark-fantasy extraction ARPG, Mistfall Hunter.

The wait is nearly over: the game will officially release on July 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM PT across Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A Breakout Hit in the Making

If you feel like you’ve been hearing a lot about Mistfall Hunter lately, you aren’t alone. The announcement follows a massively successful Open Beta during Steam Next Fest, where the game pulled in nearly 430,000 players, instantly landing it on Steam’s “Top Demos” and “Top Trending Upcoming” charts.

What is Mistfall Hunter?

Set in a bleak, ruins-choked world swallowed by a corrupting fog known as the Gyldenmist, Mistfall Hunter is a third-person PvPvE extraction action-RPG. Players step into the boots of “Gyldhunters”—warriors revived to gather a precious resource called Gyldenblod in order to repair the broken Web of Fate.

The core gameplay loop is all about high stakes, intense combat, and knowing when to fold ’em:

• High-Stakes Extraction: Whether you venture into the mist solo or squad up in a three-player team, every run is a massive gamble. You must battle terrifying monsters and rival players to collect loot, but if you die before reaching an extraction point, you lose absolutely everything you carried.
• Six Distinct Classes: Players can choose from six deeply customizable classes (including the Mercenary, Sorcerer, Shadowstrix, and the newly revealed Withered Knight). Each class features distinct talent trees and masters two unique weapon stances that you can switch between on-the-fly mid-battle.
• Pure Skill, No Pay-to-Win: The developers have explicitly stated there are no purchasable stat boosts or pay-to-win elements. Every victory in the mist is earned purely through skill, strategy, and quick reflexes.
• Evolving Seasons: Bellring Games plans to support the game heavily post-launch, promising shifting seasonal updates that will introduce fresh classes, uncharted zones, forbidden magic, and new boss encounters.

Pricing, Editions, and Launch Discounts

When the game goes live on July 29, players will have two versions to choose from:

• Standard Edition ($24.99): Includes the full base game.
• Deluxe Edition ($39.99): Includes the base game plus a bounty of exclusive cosmetics, including the Forsaken Skeleton outfit, Shipwreck Coast background, unique emotes, avatars, and 2,500 Fate Coins (the in-game cosmetic currency). (Note: Standard edition players can upgrade to Deluxe at any time).

Deal Alert: If you want to save a little cash, all platforms will feature a 10% launch discount running from July 30 through August 12, 2026.
