What is OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek?

Based on the beloved Japanese childhood game Keidoro (a folklore-infused version of Cops and Robbers), OBAKEIDORO 2 drops players into an eerie, nostalgic version of old Japan filled with urban legends and mysterious school rumours.

Matches are quick, intense 3-minute tag battles where players are split into two teams: Humans trying to survive, and Monsters trying to lock everyone up before the timer runs out.

• Playing as Humans: Teamwork is key! Humans must run, jump across platforms, carry fallen comrades to safety, and use their trusty Lanterns to temporarily flash and stun pursuing Monsters. If you get caught, don’t worry—your teammates can bust you out of jail. But watch out: sneaky Monsters love to camp nearby and turn a rescue mission into a traps-galore ambush!
• Playing as Monsters: Channel iconic Japanese urban legend spirits like Hanako-san, Red Cape, Blue Oni, and more. Each Monster comes equipped with unique powers, such as phasing through solid walls, executing high-speed dashes, or casting wide-range capture abilities to trap every Human before time expires.

• Multiple Playstyles: Jump straight into quick Free Matches with players worldwide, set up password-protected Room Matches for your friends, or practice solo in the offline Single Player Mode.
• Couch Co-op & Splitscreen: Play locally with friends on a single console using up to 4-player splitscreen, or link multiple systems for local party play.
