Two years of unbroken service — and the campaign is far from over. Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have officially launched Anniversary Update II for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, marking the start of the game’s third full year of post-launch support. Available right now across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this massive free drop brings fresh ways to fight, new systems to master, and the first wave of Season Pass 3 content.

Chaos Takes the Field — New Siege Mode

For the first time ever, step into battle as Chaos Space Marines in the all-new Chaos Siege Mode. Fight alongside heretics, cultists, and even a Helbrute against Tyranid swarms and loyalist defenders across two brand-new sectors on the world of Avarax. Corrupt the battlefield — or die trying.

The Crucible — Glory Through Trial

Prove your devotion beyond measure with the Crucible System, a fresh progression mechanic that lets you voluntarily take on Penances — challenging modifiers and debuffs — for greater rewards. The harder you make the fight, the more glorious your triumph.

Refined, Reworked, Ready

The Tactical class gets a sweeping overhaul — including the long-awaited Power Sword — while a devastating one-handed Thunder Hammer joins the arsenal, faster than its two-handed counterpart and capable of unleashing cracking area-of-effect blows. Balance passes, weapon tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements round out the update.

Season Pass 3 Begins

Season Pass 3 holders receive two exclusive cosmetic DLCs immediately — including the Space Wolves Wolf Guard Battle Leader armour set, draped in furs and fury, plus additional gear and adornments to distinguish your Astartes on the front lines.

A Promise Kept

This update — also known as Patch 15 — signals the start of Year 3, with Saber and Focus committing to ongoing support, new features, and fresh content through the coming months. The Imperium endures — and so do you.

The Emperor calls — will you answer?
