Winner of over 90 awards — including The Game Awards and DICE Game of the Year — the beloved co-op masterpiece It Takes Two is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing award-winning teamwork to Nintendo’s latest console.

Developed by Hazelight Studios, published by Electronic Arts, and brought to life on Switch 2 in partnership with Turn Me Up Games, this release doesn’t just shine brighter — it connects more players than ever before.

Play Together, Even If They Don’t Own the Game

The headline feature is the enhanced Friend’s Pass system — completely free — which means:

• Buy once, play twice — anyone can download the Friend’s Pass and join a friend who owns the full game, no purchase required
• True cross-platform adventure — Switch 2 players can team up with friends on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One
• GameShare support — connect and play online with friends on the original Nintendo Switch too
• No one gets left behind — whether they’re across the globe or on the sofa beside you, the adventure is open to everyone

A Stunning Upgrade

The Switch 2 edition delivers a visually enhanced experience:

• Higher resolution and smoother frame rates throughout
• Rich, improved visual effects that bring every whimsical world to life
• Free upgrade — if you already own It Takes Two on the original Nintendo Switch, you can update to the Switch 2 version at no extra cost

Why It Takes Two?

Built from the ground up exclusively for co-op, this genre-bending journey follows Cody and May, a couple turned into dolls, who must traverse a wildly creative world to break the spell and return home.

• Two-player only — every puzzle, challenge, and ability requires teamwork
• Constantly fresh gameplay — no two levels play the same; abilities change completely as you go
• Heartfelt storytelling — a touching, hopeful journey about communication and connection
• The most awarded game of 2021 — praised by players and critics worldwide

Ready to Team Up?

It Takes Two is available now digitally via the Nintendo eShop and at retailers as a physical edition. Grab a copy, send a Friend’s Pass to your partner-in-crime, and discover why teamwork is the greatest adventure of all.

Because everything really is better together.
