The Beginning of the End
For the uninitiated, Schrödinger’s Call is a unique, picture-book-style visual novel set in the final 21 nanoseconds before the moon crashes into Earth, ending all life. Players step into the shoes of Mary, a girl with amnesia who finds herself guided by a mysterious cat named Hamlet. Together, they act as the “World’s Last Confidant,” answering an old telephone to listen to the final regrets, unspoken words, and raw emotions of souls caught between life and death.
The newly released Chapter 5 trailer promises to bring the central mysteries to a head. It teases the long-awaited truth behind Mary’s forgotten past, her strange connection to Hamlet, and the ultimate meaning behind the falling moon. It’s the beginning of the end for Mary’s journey, challenging players to finally answer the last calls and put down the phone.
