No More Robots — the publisher behind hits like Descenders, Little Rocket Lab, and Thank You For Your Application — has teamed up with New Zealand studio Pushlab Games to spill the tee on their brand-new multiplayer stealth golf experience: Really Illegal Golf.
Golf just got a whole lot more dangerous. And a whole lot more fun.
The Premise: Golf Without Permission
You and your friends have been kicked out of every respectable golf club in town. Your memberships? Revoked. Your reputation? In tatters. Your love of the game? Undimmed — and now, completely unshackled from rules, dress codes, and closing times.
So you do what any self-respecting golf fanatic would do: you sneak in. Under cover of night, you turn the city into your personal course — dodging guards, outwitting CCTV, and playing holes in places they definitely don’t belong. From quiet fairways to construction sites, bank vaults, and even restricted military zones — if you can reach it, you can tee off from it.
How It Plays — Stealth, Strategy, and Slightly Illegal Tactics
- Play solo or with friends — team up in co-op, or compete to see who can pull off the best crime-and-putt round
- Sneak or smash — creep past patrols quietly, or use golf balls (and slightly less legal tools) to knock obstacles out of the way and guards off your trail
- Arm yourself — customise your gear: tasers, distractions, and more are all on hand when a quiet approach just won’t work
- Ever-more absurd courses — things escalate: what starts as sneaking onto a private green evolves into breaking into high-security zones where the authorities really don’t want you playing
- Get the ball in the hole — however you can. Tower cranes, rooftops, moving vehicles — every shot is a challenge, and every approach is valid
