The biggest change cuts straight to the heart of your adventure:

• Party size raised from 4 to 6 across most missions — including Nagasaki Harbour, Kanseido Village, and the Derelict Carrack
• Enemy numbers balanced accordingly — more allies means more foes to face, so every extra companion counts
• Smaller, tighter levels such as castles and manors remain capped at 4 to keep encounters sharp and focused

Companions Find Their Voice

No longer do conversations rest solely on your main character’s shoulders — your crew now contributes:

• Insight, Persuasion, Manipulation, and Authority checks can be made by any eligible companion
• Specialise your team with confidence — skills spread across the party now matter far more
• See sides of your allies you’d never otherwise witness as they speak up for themselves

Feedback-Driven Refinements

Spanning 10 full pages of patch notes, Update 1 delivers on what players have been asking for:

• Smarter enemy AI — alerted foes now coordinate and flank with greater tactical awareness
• Carry and position explosive barrels to set up devastating ambushes
• New character customisation options — fresh heads, hairstyles, and a Ronin outfit
• Five unique items plus 16 new weapon and armour variations
• Polished trade screens, world map UX, and stealth improvements
