Silence. Precision. Perfection. Limited Run Games, the premium publisher renowned for coveted physical editions of beloved games, has today announced that Agent 47 is making his mark on Nintendo Switch 2 — with a brand-new physical release of Hitman: Absolution. Pre-orders go live October 30, 2026, giving collectors and fans the chance to secure a permanent piece of the assassin’s legacy.
The Assignment — What You’re Getting
Originally developed by IO Interactive, ported by Feral Interactive, and now preserved in physical form by Limited Run Games, Hitman: Absolution brings the series’ signature stealth, action, and moral ambiguity to Nintendo’s latest hardware. Branded a traitor and hunted by the very Agency he once served, Agent 47 must navigate a world of corruption, betrayal, and impossible choices across 20 distinct missions — each one inviting you to play your way:
- Silence is your weapon — slip through shadows, use disguises, eliminate targets without a trace
- Force is an option — when stealth fails, your Silverballer pistols speak loud and clear
- Five difficulty levels — from accessible to ruthlessly unforgiving
- Gyro aiming — precision control built specifically for Nintendo platforms
- Contracts Mode — create, share, and take on custom targets designed by players worldwide
- Dual-compatible cartridge — plays on original Nintendo Switch and upgrades for Switch 2

Why It Matters — Preserving the Legacy
Hitman: Absolution originally launched in 2012, and has since been joined by the acclaimed World of Assassination trilogy. This physical edition ensures Absolution — with its cinematic story, memorable setpieces, and Contracts Mode — remains accessible in tangible form. Limited Run Games has become the custodian of choice for such releases, bridging digital convenience with the permanence collectors demand.
Digital Also Available
For players who prefer instant gratification, the digital edition launched simultaneously on the Nintendo eShop today, carrying a launch discount of 33% for the first two weeks. But for the shelf, the collection, and the future — the physical Limited Run release is the definitive way to own it.
