COMMUNITY AT THE HELM — Tense Games Overhauls Stellar Warfare Discord With New Feedback Zones & Exclusive Supporter Areas

Independent developer Tense Games has launched a major restructuring and feature update to the official Stellar Warfare Discord community — creating dedicated spaces for player ideas, clearer channels for development feedback, and an exclusive area to recognise and reward Patreon supporters.

The revamp centres on the server at https://discord.gg/ymfJPRF6jx — now reorganised to strengthen the link between the team and the growing strategy player base.

Why the Overhaul? — Community as Co-Designers

Stellar Warfare blends classic base-building with deep-space fleet command — a game shaped from the start by the input of its players. As the community has grown, so has the need for a space where every voice can be heard and every suggestion can find its place.

“Strategy games often have incredibly passionate communities, and Stellar Warfare is no exception,” said Thomas van den Essenburg, Founder of Tense Games. “Players spend a lot of time experimenting with different strategies, fleet compositions and approaches to combat. That experience can be incredibly valuable when deciding how to improve and expand a game.”

The goal: move beyond scattered conversations and create a structured, welcoming environment where feedback drives development forward.

What’s New? — Your Voice, Front and Centre

Dedicated Feedback & Suggestion Channels

The most significant addition is a clearly focused section where players can submit, discuss and vote on ideas — from fleet management tweaks and combat balance adjustments to quality-of-life upgrades and entirely new gameplay systems. No idea gets lost in the chatter; every suggestion has a home, and popular proposals are easier than ever to spot and review.

The studio intends to use this hub to prioritise changes, ensuring the roadmap reflects what the community actually wants.

Exclusive Patreon Supporter Zone

For those backing development through Patreon, the update introduces a dedicated, locked area of the server — a space for supporters to connect with one another and with the team, and to feel recognised for making ongoing development possible.

“Independent game development is made possible by the people who believe in what we’re creating,” van den Essenburg added. “We wanted to give our Patreon supporters a dedicated place within the community, while continuing to make the wider Discord a welcoming space for everyone interested in Stellar Warfare.”

Smoother Navigation, Better Spaces

Beyond the headline features, the whole server has been reorganised:

  • Streamlined categories for general chat, development updates, match coordination and technical support
  • Clearer guidelines to keep discussions constructive and inclusive
  • A welcoming onboarding flow to help new members find their feet quickly

About Stellar Warfare — Build, Command, Conquer Space

Launched into Early Access on Steam, Stellar Warfare is a space-set real-time strategy title that marries classic RTS base construction with deep tactical fleet combat. Players design custom ships, manage resources, and lead vast armadas across the cosmos — in both single-player and competitive multiplayer.

With no pay-to-win mechanics and a commitment to organic growth, the game remains shaped by the hands of its community.
