The survivor-like genre is getting a chaotic, physics-driven twist. Independent developer Bepansrad Studio—the solo project of Swedish creator Mikael Borghult (Petrified Pawns)—has officially revealed Ogre Stampede, an unorthodox new action-arcade game now listed on Steam.

Instead of the usual formula where players endlessly dodge enemies while automatically firing hyper-powered projectiles, Ogre Stampede flips the script. Players take control of a heavily armoured, defensive tank trapped in a compact mosh pit overrun by a wild swarm of dim-witted ogres, trolls, and goblins running amok.

In Ogre Stampede, survival hinges entirely on momentum, positioning, and physics. The towering hordes charging at you aren’t tactical geniuses—these low-intelligence monsters sprint in straight lines, ricocheting off arena walls, environmental obstacles, and each other.

Players must strategically position their defensive tank to absorb incoming charges, deflect brute forces, and bounce enemies into walls or rival beasts.
