Forget peaceful lakes and lazy afternoons — this is fishing at the end of the world.
Developer Dream Dock and publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment have confirmed that their highly anticipated dark first-person fishing adventure DREADMOOR will cast off into Steam Early Access on Monday, 9 November 2026 — and it’s already swimming in success, ranking among the top 100 most wishlisted unreleased games on Steam.
A World Lost Beneath the Waves
DREADMOOR drops you into the Submerged Lands — a haunting, waterlogged realm swallowed by catastrophe. Coastal cities lie drowned, twisted creatures haunt the murky depths, and survival means mastering the tides. You’re not just fishing for sport: every catch is currency, every salvage keeps your boat afloat, and every shadow beneath the surface could be your last.
What to Expect at Launch
When it arrives in Early Access next month, players will dive into a complete core experience:
- Deep, rewarding fishing — target dozens of rare, mutated species; the more dangerous the catch, the higher the reward from mysterious traders
- Boat progression — upgrade engines, hulls, lights, and fuel capacity to venture further into uncharted waters
- Full crafting system — forge reinforced harpoons, specialised bait, survival gear, and medicines from salvaged scrap and forgotten blueprints
- Real-time combat — defend yourself against horrors that lurk both below the waves and on the rotting shorelines
- One vast, atmospheric region with the complete opening storyline, plus endless exploration once the tale unfolds
The Road Ahead
Dream Dock plans to keep DREADMOOR in Early Access for 6–12 months, using player feedback to refine balance, polish, and expand the world. The full release will bring new regions, additional fish species, fresh fishing mechanics, and even more boat upgrades — all while the game is priced lower during Early Access, with a price increase planned for version 1.0.
“We’re reading everything — Steam Discussions, Discord, Reddit, in-game surveys,” said Dream Dock CEO Rostislav Fedorov. “Your feedback is helping us make DREADMOOR everything you’re hoping for”.
