HULL INTACT, DECK DRAWN — FATHOM REACH SURFACES: DIVE INTO THE UNDERWATER ROGUELIKE DECKBUILDER OUT NOW ON STEAM

Beneath the surface of a drowned, broken world, every choice is a question of depth — and survival. Independent developer Feldsparc has officially launched Fathom Reach, the atmospheric underwater roguelike deckbuilder, into Early Access on Steam — inviting players to dive, battle, loot, and build their way through a sunken ocean where one bad run could leave your hull on the seabed.

ONE DIVE, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

Fathom Reach drops you into the cockpit of a submersible in a ruined ocean where civilisation has slipped beneath the waves. Every run is a fresh descent: you chart your path downward, battle threats old and new, chain devastating card combos, and face the game’s defining tension — push deeper for richer rewards, or surface while your hull still holds.

Go too far, and you lose everything. Make it back with your haul, and you return stronger. That is the heartbeat of Fathom Reach: risk and reward, measured in depth and deck power.

CARDS THAT CHANGE THE CURRENT

At the core of the game lies a deep deckbuilding system with more than 220 unique cards spread across four distinct factions. Build around impenetrable armour that converts damage into striking power, corrosion effects that eat away at enemy hulls, swarms of relentless drones, or precision strikes on marked targets — and mix and match to craft your perfect playstyle.

Between runs, Dive Modules let you reshape and refine your deck, so no two descents ever feel the same. Experiment, adapt, and discover devastating combos — one flawless sequence of cards can turn a desperate defence into a crushing victory.

THREE WAYS TO DESCEND

Choose your challenge:

  • Open Descent — the classic experience: explore, adapt, and push as far as you dare
  • Endless Descent — no floor, no ceiling; just you, your deck, and an ever-escalating gauntlet
  • Daily Signal — a shared, curated run where every player faces the same conditions: compare your score and your skill against the world

BRING IT HOME — BASE BUILDING MEETS ASYNCHRONOUS PVP

What you recover isn’t just for show. Return safely to the surface and you’ll spend your hard-won loot upgrading your submarine — boosting armour, shields, speed, and systems — and constructing your very own underwater base.

This is where Fathom Reach sets itself apart: your base isn’t just a home — it’s a fortress. Lay traps, mount weapons, and design defences that other players will have to overcome when they dive against your domain. And when you’re ready, take your best deck and raid their bases in turn — proving your build can conquer what they’ve built.

It’s a brilliant loop: dive to grow, build to defend, raid to conquer — all while you’re offline, your base stands watch, waiting for challengers.

FROM THE DEPTHS TO YOUR SCREEN

Feldsparc — the solo independent studio behind this ambitious project — has been refining Fathom Reach through demos and community feedback, including an enhanced showing during Steam Next Fest in October. Now, the game is live in Early Access, giving players the chance to shape its future alongside the developer.

Fathom Reach is available now on Steam for PC — with support for multiple languages, including Simplified Chinese, and a free demo still available if you want to wet your fins before committing.

“Beneath a ruined ocean, pushing your luck could earn you a better hull — or leave your current one on the ocean floor.”
